Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work within schools in the Middlesbrough area. You will provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs, and help them engage positively with their education.

As part of our team, you will implement behaviour management strategies, build strong relationships with students, and support teachers to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar).
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with students.
• A proactive and flexible attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience supporting students with SEND/SEMH or additional needs (desirable).
• Qualifications in education, psychology, or childcare (desirable).

Responsibilities
