Job summary

Aspire People are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time basis, starting immediately. This role involves supporting students in an alternative curriculum setting who may present challenging behaviour, providing guidance, structure and positive role models to help them engage with learning.

You will supervise lessons, deliver pre-planned activities across a range of subjects, and work closely with staff to support student progress

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Cover Supervisor or similar roles.

Are you a confident and resilient behaviour management specialist looking for your next challenge?

Aspire People are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a full-time basis, starting immediately.

This role will involve working within an alternative curriculum provision, supporting students who may present with challenging behaviour and require additional guidance, structure and positive role models to help them engage with learning. The successful candidate will be calm under pressure, highly resilient and passionate about making a positive difference to young people's outcomes.

The Role

• Supervise and support students within an alternative curriculum setting.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities across a range of subjects.
• Build positive relationships with students and encourage engagement in learning.
• Manage challenging behaviour effectively using a consistent and proactive approach.
• Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support student progress and wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe, structured and positive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Behaviour Mentor or within a similar role.
• Excellent behaviour management skills and the confidence to work with students who can be challenging.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• A genuine commitment to supporting young people to succeed.
