Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in Rhondda Cynon Taf secondary schools from November 2026. Earn £120 per day in full-time, long-term roles with no teaching qualification required.

You’ll deliver pre-planned lessons when teachers are absent and gain valuable classroom experience across KS3–KS4. Applicants should be confident speaking to groups, adaptable, and possess strong communication and classroom presence.

• Two professional references covering the last two years

Teaching Personnel is recruiting confident and enthusiastic individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf from November 2026. As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons when teachers are absent, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning.

You will be responsible for:

• Supervising classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Delivering lesson instructions provided by teachers
• Managing classroom behaviour positively and effectively
• Encouraging student participation and engagement
• Maintaining a safe and productive learning environment
• Recording attendance and following school safeguarding procedures

No lesson planning or marking required.

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Confident speaking in front of groups
• Positive, resilient, and adaptable
• Strong communicators with excellent classroom presence
• Passionate about supporting young people
• Able to travel to secondary schools across RCT

Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:

• Schools or education settings
• Sports coaching
• Youth work
• Outdoor education
• Customer-facing leadership roles
• Support work or care settings
• Training or mentoring roles

To work in schools, you'll need:

• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• EWC Registration (or willingness to register)
