Job summary

Aspire People are seeking staff with Team Teach qualification to work at a Primary setting for SEND children of all primary ages. The role is working with children aged 4 - 11 who present with challenging behaviour as a result of additional needs such as ASC and SEMH.

The working hours are Monday - Friday 08:30-15:00pm, term time only, with occasional twilight training sessions. The setting is a primary based in South Manchester, rated 'good' by Ofsted.

Qualifications

• Team Teach training or an equivalent restraint training qualification.
• Experience working with challenging behaviour is essential.
• DBS with update service and overseas police check if required for extended absence from the UK.

Responsibilities

• Move from 1:1 to small groups as the day progresses to meet pupils' needs.
• Support children aged 4–11 with SEND (ASC/SEMH) in small classes of 7 with a SEND teacher and 3 other staff.
• Assist in maintaining pupils' social and emotional well-being in a PRU setting.
