Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a supportive and inclusive school in the Uxbridge area to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. This is a full-time position focused on pupils with behavioural needs, helping them engage positively with their learning and develop social, emotional and behavioural skills.

As a patient, empathetic and confident practitioner, you will work with teachers and SENCOs to implement support plans and promote inclusion, with an ASAP start and a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
• Ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model.
• Resilient, adaptable and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs.
• Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies.
• Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and social skills.
• Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to create and implement support plans.
• De-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records of behaviour and interventions.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Support inclusion and ensure all pupils can access learning.
