Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a passionate behaviour mentor for a secondary school in Worthing. You will support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them engage and improve behaviour in class. The role is based on-site at a Worthing school with a SEND department offering progression opportunities.

ASAP start available and experience with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD is desirable. Youth workers or LSAs will also be considered for suitability.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEMH.
• Understanding of positive behaviour management techniques.

Behaviour Mentor – Worthing

Do you have experience working with children and supporting those with social, emotional, and mental health and challenging behaviour?

Engage Education is currently working with a fantastic secondary school in Worthing that is looking for a passionate, motivated and committed behaviour mentor to support their students to start as soon as possible.

The Ideal Candidate will–

• Remain calm, level headed and have the ability to think on your feet
• Have a passion for supporting pupils engagement and behaviour
• Have experience supporting individuals with SEMH needs
• Have an understanding of positive behaviour management techniques and are able to implement them.

• Secondary school based in Worthing and easily accessible by public transport
• Supportive SEND department with experienced SENDCO and lots of opportunities for career progression
• ASAP start
• Will consider Youth Workers or LSA’s
• SEND experience preferred – Behaviour support, SEMH, ASD, ADHD
