Job summary

Empowering Learning is partnering with local schools in Redbridge to recruit a Classroom Behaviour Buddy. The role supports pupils with ASD and other learning needs, working under teachers and the SENDco to tailor learning plans.

This 2:1 capacity assignment offers opportunity for CPD and safeguarding-focused professional development, with direct links to local schools and dedicated consultants guiding employment needs.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
• Previous experience of working in a UK Primary/Secondary School.
• Previous Teaching Assistant experience within the last 12 months.
• DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for a new DBS.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport and trusting relationships to progress pupil learning.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENDco to implement a tailored learning approach.
• Support pupils with ASD, moderate learning difficulties or challenging behaviour as part of a 2:1 capacity.

Classroom Behaviour Buddy

Empowering Learning is working in partnership with local schools in the Borough of Redbridge. The schools are looking for candidates who can support pupils with ASD, moderate learning difficulties or challenging behaviour. The schools are likely to have Education Healthcare plans for pupils which identify the areas of development and support needed.

The Behaviour Mentor will be confident in building rapport and trusting relationships in order to progress learning. This role involves working closely with class teachers and the SENDco to implement a tailored learning approach where required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have a passion for education and SEN. The schools have experienced teams already in place and are able to provide additional training and development.

This particular assignment is to work within a 2:1 capacity.

Requirements
