Behaviour Mentor – SEMH School

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to support young people with SEMH needs in a dynamic South Birmingham school. The role involves one‑to‑one mentoring, small group support, behaviour management, and collaboration with teaching and pastoral teams.

The Role

• Provide 1‑to‑1 mentoring support for students with behavioural needs
• Deliver small group interventions focused on behaviour and engagement
• Support students to develop emotional regulation and social skills
• Assist in enrichment lessons and wider school activities
• Promote positive behaviour strategies and consistent routines
• Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with young people with behavioural or SEMH needs
• Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
