Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking committed and resilient Behaviour & Mental Health Mentors to support pupils with behavioural challenges in Northumberland and Newcastle secondary schools.

You will deliver targeted short-term interventions, provide 1:1 and small-group support, and collaborate with SENCo and pastoral teams to promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour, all in line with safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
• Ability to deliver structured behavioural support.
• Calm, patient and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver short-term behaviour interventions to identified pupils.
• Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support.
• Assist pupils in developing positive behaviour strategies.
• Collaborate with SEN and pastoral teams.
• Follow whole school behaviour and safeguarding protocols.
