Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking committed and resilient Behaviour Mentors/support assistants to provide targeted support to pupils with behavioural challenges in Northumberland secondary schools. This role involves collaborating with the SENCo and teaching staff to deliver structured interventions that promote emotional regulation, engagement and positive behaviour.

You will deliver short term behaviour interventions, provide consistent 1:1 and small group support, and work with SEN and pastoral

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
• Confidence in delivering structured behavioural support.
• Calm, patient and professional under pressure.
• Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Delivering short term behaviour interventions to identified pupils
• Providing consistent 1:1 and small group support
• Assisting pupils in developing positive behaviour strategies
• Working collaboratively with SEN and pastoral teams
• Following whole school behaviour and safeguarding protocols
