Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Newcastle is seeking committed and resilient Behaviour Mentors to provide targeted support to pupils with behavioural challenges in Newcastle secondary schools. You will work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to deliver structured interventions that promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

The role involves delivering short term behaviour interventions, 1:1 and small group support, and collaborating with SEN and pastoral teams while following school

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
• Confidence in delivering structured behavioural support.
• Calm, patient and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver short term behaviour interventions to identified pupils.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support.
• Assist pupils in developing positive behaviour strategies.
• Work with SEN and pastoral teams.
• Follow whole school behaviour and safeguarding protocols.
