Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a high-performing secondary school in Manchester to recruit an experienced Behaviour Manager. The role focuses on supporting the school’s behaviour systems and providing targeted interventions for students needing additional support.

Successful candidates will have prior school experience, especially in behaviour management or pastoral roles, and will work closely with Heads of Year and SLT to maintain positive relationships with students and carers.

Qualifications

• Previous school experience is essential.
• Experience in behaviour, pastoral, inclusion or student support roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day behaviour across the school.
• Leading targeted behaviour interventions.
• Supporting students after incidents or sanctions.
• Monitoring behaviour, attendance and punctuality.
• Running restorative conversations.
• Liaising with parents and carers.
• Maintaining accurate behaviour records.
• Identifying patterns and helping develop interventions.
