Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a Behaviour Support / Learning Assistant for a school in a rural setting near Andover, Hampshire. The role involves supporting pupils with behaviour, engagement, learning and personal development in collaboration with teaching staff.

You will support pupils during lessons, provide one-to-one and group assistance, and help maintain a calm and structured learning environment, promoting progress and independence.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils during lessons and learning activities
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required
• Helping pupils manage their behaviour and remain engaged
• Encouraging positive attitudes towards learning
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
• Supporting positive classroom routines and expectations
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff
• Assisting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and make progress
