Job summary

Milk Education are recruiting dedicated Behaviour Intervention Mentors to support pupils across Sunderland and South Tyneside. The role involves 1:1 and small group interventions, helping pupils improve emotional regulation and engagement, and working with teachers to implement behaviour plans.

Ideal candidates have experience with SEMH or support needs, a calm and resilient approach, and an Enhanced DBS. Competitive daily rate and flexible hours are offered, with access to Milk Academy CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural, SEMH, or additional support needs.
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing targeted 1:1 and small group behaviour interventions
• Supporting pupils to develop emotional regulation and positive coping strategies
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Building positive relationships to support personal growth
• Collaborating with teachers and pastoral teams to implement behaviour plans
• Monitoring progress and celebrating pupil achievements
