Job summary

Outwood Grange Academy in Wakefield is seeking a dedicated Behaviour and Alternative Provision Coordinator to support students whose behaviour and needs may put them at risk of suspension. This permanent, full-time role involves working with individuals and small groups to build positive behaviours and resilience.

You will plan targeted interventions, work with staff and families, and help students reintegrate into mainstream lessons.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working directly with children or young people is essential.
• Experience in education, behaviour or inclusion support, SEND, pastoral work or equivalent.
• Ability to support students with challenging behaviour and barriers to learning.
• Strong communication with students, colleagues and families.

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one and with small groups to build positive relationships.
• Help students develop confidence, resilience and positive behaviours.
• Plan and deliver targeted interventions for academic, social and emotional progress.
• Provide guided teaching and collaborate with Academy staff.
• Support reintegration of students into mainstream lessons.
• Monitor progress and identify strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with Inclusion Team and parents/carers for consistent support.
