Job summary

Ridgewood School in Doncaster is seeking a friendly Behaviour for Learning Assistant to support the Behaviour for Learning Managers across the school. You will help maintain behaviour standards, support pupils, and liaise with parents and staff.

The role offers term-time only hours (37 per week) with five additional days, and a strong CPD program to develop coaching and safeguarding skills, including DBS processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates are required to possess GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above.
• Experience in behaviour support or working with students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Behaviour for Learning Team in vision and implementation.
• Supervise during morning, break, lunch and other duties.
• Manage and track detentions; supervise Isolation room.
• Assist with on-call system and behavioural incidents.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and carers.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with Behaviour for Learning Manager and Deputy Manager.
• Maintain records of student interventions and communications.
• Facilitate effective communication with students, parents and staff.
• Co-operate with the employer on Health, Safety and Welfare and other duties.
