Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting a Behaviour & Classroom Lead for a secondary school in the Newport area. You will supervise classes during short-term absences, maintain a positive learning environment and support pupils aged 11–16.

Experience in coaching, mentoring or youth work is valued, with DBS and EWC checks required or obtainable. No teaching qualification is necessary, but you should be able to discuss your relevant experience at interview.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education, coaching or mentoring.
• DBS check on Update Service or willingness to obtain.
• EWC registration or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences to keep students engaged.
• Cover lessons across KS3 and KS4 with pre-planned materials.
• Focus on behaviour management and ensuring tasks are completed.
