Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a permanent, full-time Behaviour Analyst to join the Intensive Support Team within the Community Learning Disabilities Team. You will lead clinical pathway work, analyze why behaviours of concern occur, and design person-specific strategies to improve quality of life.

The role requires SBA accreditation and a Masters-level qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or Applied Behaviour Analysis, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Undergraduate qualification in learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Masters-level qualification in Positive Behaviour Support and/or Applied Behaviour Analysis.
• Accreditation to the Society for Behaviour Analysis (SBA).

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical pathway work within the Intensive Support Team.
• Understand why behaviours of concern occur and provide person-specific strategies.
• Carry out specialist assessments using historical, functional, self-report, observational and interview data.
• Formulate and implement treatment and management plans across all care settings.
• Deliver Positive Behaviour Support interventions drawing on Applied Behaviour Analysis.
• Promote Positive Behaviour Support across the service and coordinate work.
• Influence clinical decisions and monitor patient care quality.
• Respond to urgent situations and unpredictable service user needs.
• Advocate for service users and promote self-advocacy where possible.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with service users, families and carers.
