This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside residential care teams, therapists, and external professionals to develop evidence-based behavioural strategies that improve the lives of children and young people with complex needs.

The Role

  • Support crisis prevention, de-escalation, and proactive behaviour management strategies.
  • Promote trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches throughout the service.
  • Ensure all interventions comply with safeguarding requirements, ethical standards, and best practice.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement through data analysis, audits, and staff development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Psychology, Behaviour Analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Registration with, or willingness to register with, the UK Society for Behaviour Analysis (UK-SBA) and a commitment to maintaining professional standards through continuing professional development and adherence to the UK-SBA Code of Ethics.

  • Experience working with children and young people with complex needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, trauma, and behaviours of concern.
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs).

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to influence and support multidisciplinary teams.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
