Job summary

Love Childcare Recruitment is seeking a Wraparound Childcare Club Supervisor for a primary school in Horsham, West Sussex. You will lead a team, shape the club environment, and deliver a mix of child-led play and planned activities for breakfast and after-school sessions.

You will ensure safeguarding, build strong relationships with children and families, and foster an inclusive, engaging club that children look forward to attending each day.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of childcare workers.
• Experience running a wraparound/holiday club within a primary school setting.
• Willingness to commit to Monday to Friday sessions, including mornings and after school.
• Excellent communication with children, parents and school staff.
• Understanding and inclusion of SEN needs where required.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the clubs at the school site.

Before and After School Club Supervisor in Horsham, West Sussex

Up to £13.71 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Location: Horsham (RH12), West Sussex

Working pattern: 7:15-8:45am and 3-6pm, Monday to Friday, during school term-time, with three-day availability during school holidays from 8:45am-3:15pm. Additional shifts are also available

Our client is a growing wraparound childcare and holiday club provider working with primary schools across East and West Sussex, built around one simple belief: that wraparound care should be so much more than somewhere children go because their parents are working. They're looking for a Wraparound Childcare Club Supervisor to lead their breakfast and after school clubs at a primary school in Horsham and help shape it into a place children look forward to every single day.

This isn't a supervising-from-the-sidelines role. It's yours to run (with support and guidance, of course!). You'll lead a team, decide how the space feels, and build the kind of relationships with children, families and the school that make a club somewhere children want to be, not just somewhere they have to be. Expect a real mix of child-led play and planned activities, from arts and crafts to games and quiet time, with an emphasis on giving every child, including those with SEN needs, a place where they can thrive.

Key responsibilities:

• Owning the club: Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the clubs at your school, leading a team of childcare workers with fairness and professionalism.

• Shaping the experience: Plan and deliver a balance of child-led play and structured activities that feel genuinely engaging.

• Championing inclusion: Help make sessions accessible and welcoming for all children, including those with SEN, working alongside the wider team's specialism in this area.

• Safety and administration: Complete registers, accident and incident forms, and health and safety checks, and follow all safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Building relationships: Communicate warmly and professionally with children, parents, the school, and colleagues, representing the club's reputation every day.
