Job summary

Renaissance Asset Finance, part of Arbuthnot Latham, seeks a Credit and Block Discounting specialist to own a diverse client portfolio. You will oversee onboarding through ongoing credit monitoring, collaborating with Credit, Risk and Audit to uphold governance and credit stewardship.

The role emphasizes risk management, proposal drafting, data analysis, and building strong relationships at board level, with AML/KYC compliance and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of asset finance in a wide range of market areas.
• Experience managing complex client relationships.
• Previous experience in bank lending at a corporate level.
• Proficient with MS Office and familiarity with LMA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Managing BD team and RAF Credit in gathering and analysing financial information that will form part of a Credit Proposal.
• Drafting Credit Proposals and report writing.
• Analysis of key financial and non-financial data to monitor client performance and manage risk.
• Maintaining high standards of risk management including credit, operational and reputational risk.
• Review and implement processes to maintain and enhance Credit Stewardship.
• Liaise with clients, audit, credit, and sales support in day-to-day management of client relationships.
• Implement anti money laundering and KYC procedures laid down by the company.
• Report issues of regulatory concern to the Block Discounting Senior Director / Audit/ Bank Legal & Compliance Director.
• Communicate and escalate potential issues/risks promptly.
