Job summary

LR Legal Recruitment is seeking a BD & Business Manager for an international law firm in London. The role blends business development, marketing and business management, working closely with Construction leadership and senior stakeholders across the firm.

You will develop BD growth strategies, run client development plans, and lead targeted marketing campaigns and events. The position requires strong stakeholder management and analytical skills, with hybrid working in London.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional services, ideally a law firm or partnership.
• Strong business development, marketing, or strategic growth background.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior partners.
• Analytical and project management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and CRM tools.
• Experience within Construction, Infrastructure or related sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

A leading international law firm is looking for a BD & Business Manager to support the continued growth of its highly regarded Construction practice.

This is a broad role combining business development, marketing and business management, working closely with the Construction leadership team and senior stakeholders across the firm.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the development and delivery of the Construction group's BD and growth strategy.
• Working with partners and fee earners on client development, account plans, cross-selling and new business opportunities.
• Developing and delivering targeted marketing campaigns, events and client engagement activity.
• Managing directory submissions, awards, credentials and sector communications.
• Supporting leadership meetings, strategic projects and wider business initiatives.
• Providing analysis and reporting around financial performance, client activity and business development pipelines.
• Supporting budgeting, business cases and strategic growth initiatives.
• Co-line managing a Marketing & BD Executive.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience within a professional services environment, ideally a law firm or partnership.
• Strong business development, marketing or strategic growth experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with senior partners and fee earners.
• Strong commercial, analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, CRM and wider technology skills.
• Experience within Construction, Infrastructure or a related sector would be advantageous.
