Job summary

Envision Energy is seeking a Field Services Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems in Scotland. The role involves site work, installation support, and ensuring robust O&M for BESS assets across GB.

Regular travel, strong HSE compliance, and hands-on collaboration with MEP, Development and Construction teams are required. The successful candidate will manage field operations, provide remote diagnostics, and contribute to training and product improvements while maintaining high safety and

Qualifications

• Experience with HSE frameworks and CDM in electrical projects.
• Background in electrical contracting/construction environments.
• Knowledge of BS7671 and electrical installations.

Responsibilities

• Adopt a culture of HSE excellence within your team and company.
• Develop an Operation & Maintenance function for asset management as the base grows.
• Deliver O&M services for BESS assets and optimise delivery of works.
• Manage operational and technical escalations per regulatory & contractual obligations.
• Troubleshoot issues with O&M teams and technical partners.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance system efficiency.
• Provide phone support and remote diagnostics to customers.
• Carry out annual PPM checks, capacity tests and reactive works.
• Perform start-up and commissioning at customer sites (SAT).
• Assist in-house engineering for product development and field feedback.
• Prepare and deliver customer training at Envision facilities.
• Travel within Great Britain; company vehicle after training; pool car initially.
