Job summary

O’Neill & Brennan seeks an experienced Project Manager for a prestigious £70 million heritage redevelopment in Bath. You will lead day-to-day construction, coordinate subcontractors and ensure delivery to high standards of quality, safety and technical compliance on a complex, heritage-listed site over a three-year programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within an established Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor.
• Delivery of technically demanding construction projects, ideally £20m+.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing and quality management.
• Experience managing subcontractors and maintaining detailed records throughout construction.
• Strong organisational skills and structured project administration.
• Strong communication and leadership with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Ability to anticipate technical challenges and solve problems proactively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and programme adherence.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring sequencing and delivery to standards.
• Maintain comprehensive subcontractor records: progress reporting, quality, inspections, compliance.
• Review methodologies, specs and drawings to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with design, commercial and operations teams for effective coordination.
• Monitor quality to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.
• Identify and manage challenges within the heritage building context.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting procedures and QA processes.
• Support the Project Lead in programme management and stakeholder communications.
• Lead site management teams with accountability and professionalism.
