Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Bat Licensed Ecologist to join our Cardiff or Bristol offices. You will support nationally significant infrastructure projects, manage surveys, and coordinate ecological mitigation while liaising with clients and internal teams.

The role includes preparing reports/licence applications, contributing to bids, and mentoring colleagues. A UK driving licence and CIEEM membership progress are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must hold Natural England / Natural Resources Wales bat licence.
• Experience working on Natural England or NRW mitigation licences as accredited agents.
• Full membership of CIEEM or actively working toward it.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and respond to their requirements for nationally important projects.
• Plan and conduct field surveys, analyse results, design ecological mitigation.
• Author and check ecological reports and licence applications; support bid preparation.
• Engage with other teams, mentor staff and contribute to project growth.
