The role of a waiter (or server) is to ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience by providing attentive, efficient, and courteous service. Key responsibilities typically include:

1. Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcoming customers, guiding them to their seats, and presenting menus.
2. Taking Orders: Accurately recording food and beverage orders and answering questions about the menu.
3. Serving Food and Drinks: Delivering orders promptly and checking for customer satisfaction.
4. Handling Payments: Presenting the bill, processing payments, and returning change or receipts.
5. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping tables, dining areas, and service stations clean and organized.
6. Customer Interaction: Providing recommendations, handling complaints diplomatically, and ensuring repeat visits through good service.
