Searcys has an exciting new venue opening in one of London's most iconic, historic spaces this year and is looking for a Bartender to join the team.

About the Role
As a Bartender for Searcys, you will support the Bar Supervisor in the daily operations of the Private Members Club at the National Gallery, craft stylish signature cocktails, deliver exceptional service to our guests, and serve an extensive wine and champagne selection curated by our Head of Champagne.

The role is based in the newly refurbished Sainsbury's wing at The National Gallery, in collaboration with Michelin-starred Chef Giorgio Locatelli.

Job Description

The Bartender will oversee the bar area, support the team in delivering exceptional service, maintain drink and service standards, and drive sales through upselling and fostering repeat visits.

Salary: £14.85 per hour including Tronc.

Working 5 days over 7, with gallery hours from 10-6, and Fridays from 10-9.

Responsibilities:

• Passionate about food and drinks
• Manage the beverage offerings including cocktails, beers, garnishes, and non-alcoholic options
• Maintain service and operational standards, utilizing best practices
• Assist with updating cocktail lists, considering GP and stock control
• Build relationships with guests, team members, and clients
• Act as a brand ambassador with professionalism and courtesy
• Enhance staff productivity and efficiency
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years experience as a bartender
• Strong beverage knowledge
• Passion for food, drink, and service
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm
• Love of coffee is a plus
