Job summary

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, a prestigious boutique hotel in the Scottish Mutual Building, invites applications for a Bartender to join the Bar and Restaurant team and deliver exceptional service to our guests in Belfast.

As a Bartender, you will manage day-to-day service, learn the beverage menu, craft cocktails, take orders, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hospitality across the bar and restaurant.

Qualifications

• Previous bar service experience, preferably in a hotel.
• Mixology experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
• Warm and friendly personality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day service within the Bar and Restaurant.
• Set up and close down the bar, including liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies.
• Ensure beverages are prepared consistently to the required standards.
• Familiarise yourself with beverage menus and provide recommendations.
• Take beverage orders and relay to the bar promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant and back of house.
• Handle cash, card, float and till procedures as per policy.
• Create cocktails following mixology guides with consistency.
• Maintain professional relationships with hotel departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining room, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

AsaBartender,you willbe responsible fortheday-to-dayservicewithin the Bar andRestaurant,ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered andalwaysmaintainedin line with our guest expectations.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Assistin creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
• Completethe set up and closedown of thebar, including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes,glasswareand supplies.
• Ensure that the preparation and presentation of each section is of a high standard and is in line with the standards set.
• Familiarise yourself with thebeveragemenus,providing knowledgeable and creative drink recommendationsto guests.
• Take beverage orders and ensure thattheyare communicated to the bar promptly and accurately.
• Maintain a high standard ofrestaurant and back of house cleanliness and hygiene practices.
• Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed procedures.
• Ensure all beverages are preparedconsistently and to the standards expected.
• Create cocktails following mixology guides in place, ensuring consistency and uniformity.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments in the hotel.
• Complete anyother reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager.

Key Requirements

• Previousbar service, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Previousmixology experience preferred.
