Job summary

Another Place, The Lake is seeking a dynamic Barista to join our Food & Beverage team in a lakeside setting. You will support daily operations, build product knowledge, and ensure guests enjoy a relaxed, professional coffee experience.

You’ll craft hot and cold drinks, participate in tastings to enhance our coffee and menu offerings, and contribute to a welcoming, high-energy service during busy periods. 30 hours per week minimum, with potential for more hours toward full-time.

Qualifications

• Proven barista, waiting or bar experience.
• 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience of, and a passion for, latte art (essential).
• Commitment to meet consistently high levels of service.
• Willingness to work as a team player with attention to detail.
• Strong communication with colleagues from all departments.
• Energetic and personable with a customer-focused approach.
• Genuine interest in using technology for smooth ordering and billing.

Our Barista role:

We’re looking for a dynamic and imaginative Barista to join our team.

Supporting our day-to-day Food and Beverage operations, you’ll continually build upon your product knowledge, helping guests feel confident and informed about our offerings and menus.

You’ll also welcome and serve our guests in a relaxed, professional way and create a positive guest experience from start to finish, taking pride in the details, from the quality of each coffee to the finishing touches that make every drink feel special.

Due to the nature of the role, you’ll need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment during busy service periods and be ready to support our core team as needed.

This opportunity guarantees 30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours up to full-time.

As our Barista you’ll be:

• Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly, timely and relaxed yet professional manner.

• Continually building upon company and product knowledge and giving input on how we could develop and improve.

• Taking care of guests’ billing in a timely manner.
• Lending a helping hand to new team members and supporting their training and development.

The skills you’ll be sharing with us:

• Proven barista, waiting or bar experience
• 2 years of experience working in a similar position
• Experience of, and a passion for, latte art (essential)
• A commitment to meet consistently high levels of service and an interest in the hospitality industry
• A willingness to work as a team player, with a keen eye for detail and an eagerness to share information and skills that will improve overall service
• An ability to communicate well and work seamlessly with colleagues from all departments
• Team-focused with plenty of enthusiasm and personality
• A friendly and outgoing personality
• A real energy and passion for everything that you do
• A desire to provide an excellent guest experience
• A genuine intent to use the latest technology for a smooth ordering and billing process, without compromising guest experience
