Job summary

The Bricklayer's Arms in Colchester, part of the Flying Trade Group, is looking for a Bar Team Leader to drive service and lead the F&B team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will open and close shifts, manage the bar and restaurant service, coach staff, and ensure standards across drinks and coffees. The role offers development opportunities within a dynamic hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as part of a Food & Beverage Team, a leadership role is advantageous
• Thirst to drive and improve standards across all areas of our food and beverage areas, with an eye for detail- delivering best in class experiences with personality and warmth
• Ability to lead, inspire, train a team, helping maintain high standards whilst being fair and consistent

Responsibilities

• Lead service from the front - taking guests orders, serving food and drinks, taking payments and giving great service to customers
• Meet all site standards of service & lead the team to do the same leading to a great guest experience.
• Have a good understanding serving coffees, alcohol and wine to both a bar and restaurant environment.
• Opening and closing shifts, including cash ups and end of day sign offs
• Aid in developing & mentoring the Food & Beverage team to deliver great service.
• Have a willingness to continue your development with both in-house and external training sessions.
