Job summary

Dakota Glasgow is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager with leadership, training and a passion for cocktails to join our team. The role involves leading service, mentoring staff and ensuring exceptional guest experiences at our Glasgow location.

The successful candidate will have a track record in high-end hospitality, strong knowledge of cocktails and beverages, and flexible, detail-oriented approach to shifts. A permanent, full-time contract with 40 hours per week is offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year as an Assistant Manager or above in full-service bar or restaurant with rota writing and people management.
• At least 3 years in a full-service, high-end restaurant and/or bar.
• Experience overseeing bar operations, team and customer service.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Positive, proactive attitude with culture of positivity.
• Flexible with shift patterns and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Implement training plans and on-the-job training to drive polished service.
• Deliver beverage-focused training to enhance guest experience.
• Support bar operations including stock takes and placing beverage orders.
• Lead by example with hands-on service and hosting.
• Understand allergens and menu options to make guest recommendations.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching to maintain high standards.
• Mentor team members and support their growth.
• Identify opportunities to improve team performance and morale.
• Inspire confidence and professionalism as a positive leader.
