Job summary

Interaction Recruitment are seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to join a well-established, food-led pub in Shepreth near Royston. The role offers flexible day, evening and weekend shifts with a pay of approximately £14.00–£14.50 per hour, paid weekly, on a temporary agency basis with potential permanent opportunities.

You'll be responsible for cellar operations, beer quality and delivering excellent customer service, while supporting the Bar Manager and supervising a small team as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor or similar.
• Strong cellar management experience.
• Able to work independently and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cellar operations (changing barrels, line cleaning, stock rotation).
• Ensure drinks are stored, maintained and served correctly, with beer quality focus.
• Provide friendly, efficient and professional service, building rapport with customers and regulars.
• Support Bar Manager with day-to-day bar operations.
• Provide guidance and supervision to a small team when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the bar, cellar and surrounding customer areas.
• Assist with stock deliveries, replenishment and stock control.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and hygiene.
• Take initiative and complete tasks independently without constant direction.

Interaction Recruitment are looking for an experienced and confident Bar Supervisor to join a well-established, food-led pub in Shepreth, near Royston.

With the pub entering an exciting new chapter under new management, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the hospitality industry, takes pride in their work and wants to play a part in building a successful and welcoming pub environment.

The establishment has a strong focus on food service but also benefits from a loyal community of regular bar customers. We're looking for someone personable, approachable and confident who can deliver excellent customer service while independently managing the day-to-day requirements of the bar.

A key requirement of this position is confidence and experience in cellar management. Although a Bar Manager will be in place, the successful candidate must be comfortable taking responsibility for cellar operations with minimal supervision or guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage cellar operations, including changing barrels, line cleaning, stock rotation and maintaining excellent cellar standards.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor, Senior Bar Person or similar.

• Strong practical cellar management experience is essential.

• Confidence working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• A natural ability to build relationships with customers and regulars.

• Some experience supporting or supervising colleagues.

• A positive, reliable and hands-on attitude.

• Flexibility to work daytime, evening and weekend shifts.

• Access to your own transport would be advantageous due to the location and varying shift patterns.
