Select Appointments is seeking an experienced Bar, Restaurant & Events Manager to lead front-of-house service, dining and event delivery. This hands-on role focuses on managing daily operations, delivering memorable customer experiences, and leading a hospitality team.

You will plan and deliver weddings and corporate events, supervise staff, manage cellar and stock, monitor costs and ensure compliance while driving revenue and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bar, Restaurant & Events Manager

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar, Restaurant & Events Managerto take charge of front-of-house service, dining and event delivery.

This is a hands-on management role, ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, leading a team and delivering memorable customer experiences.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the daily bar and restaurant operation, ensuring excellent service and high standards.
  • Planning and delivering weddings, private functions, parties, corporate events and special occasions.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for event customers, from initial enquiry through to delivery.
  • Leading, training and supporting the hospitality team, including staff rotas and performance.
  • Managing the cellar, beverage stock, ordering, deliveries, stock rotation and wastage.
  • Monitoring sales, costs and profitability, identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, health & safety and licensing compliance.
  • Handling customer feedback and complaints professionally and building strong customer relationships.
  • Supporting promotions, events marketing and wider business activities.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous management experience within a bar, restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Experience organising and delivering events and functions.
  • Knowledge of beverage stock control and cellar management.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and excellent customer service.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of sales, costs and profitability.
