Job summary

Select Appointments is seeking an experienced Bar, Restaurant & Events Manager to lead front-of-house service, dining and event delivery. This hands-on role focuses on managing daily operations, delivering memorable customer experiences, and leading a hospitality team.

You will plan and deliver weddings and corporate events, supervise staff, manage cellar and stock, monitor costs and ensure compliance while driving revenue and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a bar, restaurant, hotel or hospitality team.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver weddings, private functions and events.
• Knowledge of beverage stock control and cellar management.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering excellent customer service.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of sales and costs.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexible, proactive and positive approach.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and event days.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bar and restaurant operations with high service standards.
• Plan and deliver weddings, private functions, corporate events and celebrations.
• Be the main contact for event customers from enquiry to delivery.
• Lead, train and support hospitality team including staff rotas and performance.
• Manage cellar, beverage stock, ordering, deliveries and wastage.
• Monitor sales, costs and profitability; identify opportunities to increase revenue.
• Maintain food hygiene, health & safety and licensing compliance.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and build relationships.
• Support promotions and events marketing and wider business activities.
