Job summary

Soho House in Brighton seeks a Bar Manager to lead the bar operation, delivering a world-class beverage experience that reflects the club's quality and atmosphere. You will oversee service delivery, staff management, and financial performance, ensuring the bar remains a vibrant, profitable hub within the Club.

You'll develop and inspire your team, collaborating with F&B and Events to deliver drinks from signature cocktails to large events at the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm under pressure.
• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive exceptional service standards by developing and refining systems that enhance the experience for members, guests, and staff.
• Lead engaging training sessions on Soho House food and drink programs through storytelling, demos, and initiatives like Cook House, House Tonic, and Club School.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure every guest interaction is seamless, aligned with brand expectations, and delivered with consistency.
• Support recruitment efforts by identifying talent needs, participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates alongside People & Development.
• Ensure maximum revenue is achieved from all sales opportunities.
• To ensure cleanliness standards and procedures for the unit & their areas are in accordance with site, company and legal health and safety standards.
• Responsible for Mystery Shopper Reports and staff development.
• Actively participates as a member of the management team in decision making processes, attending required meetings, etc.
• Delegates work and determine beverage methods to staff throughout shift.
• Uphold and enforce standards of appearance, compliance, safety, and professionalism across the team.
