There is a nautical theme at both of the 25hours Hotels in HafenCity: Stories of sea voyages and distant ports, wanderlust and homesickness will become part of your normal working day here. The Bar Manager has independent responsibility for running the bar and making sure that the staff have everything a strong team needs. You’ll be marketing the bar as a standalone concept with highballs targeted at a neighbourhood clientele. Several times a year, you’ll be developing the bar menu and new highballs with your bar team. Job Description

How does your working day look like …

• You’ll take care of resource planning, manage the team, and support your colleagues’ development
• You’ll make sure the accounts are correct and admin processes run smoothly
• You’ll take responsibility for your budget, and develop the bar as a business
• You are a competent and open-minded contact and sparring partner for Jörg Meyer and the Highballers
• You’ll support your colleagues with a winning smile whenever, once again, all the guests crowd into the bar and order drinks at the same time. On top of this, you’ll also keep your head above water when there are sudden changes of plan

Qualifications

Your personality counts more than your CV …

• You’ve gained management experience in a bar, and can speak English fluently
• You can inspire your fellow staff just as you can inspire your guests. On top of this, you know your way around Hamburg and always have tips for partying up your sleeve
• You’re passionate about the bar scene and bar culture, and enjoy discovering new concepts
• You’re a doer – and even if you do it wrong sometimes, you openly admit it
