As seen on BBC1 Master Chef and voted as one of London's Top 100 Restaurants; acclaimed chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias merges the Spanish cuisine of his family with his love of Mexico for his debut London restaurant, Decimo. Expect lots of flavour; aquachile (Mexican ceviche), suckling pig shoulder, vegan paella and a new take on tacos with a dramatically different tortilla. Situated on the 10th floor of The Standard, London, Decimo features two separate bar areas, a main restaurant which showcases live fire cooking, and two semi-private dining spaces, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows and roof terraces providing dramatic views across the London skyline.
We are now seeking a dynamic individual who will capture the very essence of this culinary destination and join our team as ourBar Manager.
Your role
As Bar Manager for Decimo, you will oversee an exceptional bar team that will provide an extensive drinks across Decimo's bars in the lounge and restaurant. You will of course be passionate about service, with an exceptional working knowledge of bar operations and the order of service; along with a deep appreciation of quality wines, champagne and spirts in order to expertly train and develop our bar team and enhance their guest experience skills.
You will have a hands on appoach to service, working alongside our bar team to prep, create, and mix a range of signature cocktails in addition to mixing and blending of all the classics. Your knowledge of the latest trends in the London bar scene and team trainings will also add expertise and a touch of personality and theatre to Decimo's guest experience.
Decimo's Bar Managerwill also work closely with our Beverage management team to develop ideas to create new signature drinks and cocktails for our menus and special events. As a senior manager there are a number of additional duties you will undertake including staff rotas, recruitment, learning and development, and implementing Health & Safety policies and correct compliance practices within Decimo's bar.
Finally, you will be a host, making our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard and our energetic and vibrant city; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high volume, high energy environment and can manage multiple tasks and guest with ease.
