Heartwood Inns Ltd is seeking a Bar Manager to lead a busy, guest‑facing bar operation at one of our Heartwood Collection venues in the United Kingdom. You will oversee service standards, staff training, and stock/beer/wine/kitchen synergy to drive exceptional hospitality.

We value a warm, vibrant personality with a genuine passion for drinks. You will share knowledge with guests and inspire your team while ensuring profitable beverage operations across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in Bar Manager or senior bar leadership roles within quality pubs, restaurants or hospitality.
• Passionate, vibrant personality with hospitality focus and guest-centric approach.
• Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails and beers, with ability to share expertise with guests and staff.
• Experience in stock management, ordering, cellar management, GP margins and beverage profitability.

Bar Manager

On Target Earnings £16 – £16.50 per hour Including TRONC*

(Basic from £13.02 plus expected TRONC £3 – £3.50 per hour)

Minimum 30-hour contract – up to 48 hours

About You:

• Passionate and vibrant personality, a real people person who loves creating a welcoming atmosphere, delivering exceptional hospitality and making every guest experience memorable.
• A genuine passion for drinks, with excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails and beers, and the confidence to share that knowledge with guests and inspire your team.
• Confident in leading a busy bar operation, delivering outstanding service standards and training, motivating and developing a high-performing bar team.
• Commercially aware, with experience in stock management, ordering, cellar management, GP margins, wastage control and driving beverage sales and profitability.
• Ideally 2–3 years' experience in a Bar Manager, Assistant Manager or senior bar leadership role within a quality pub, restaurant or branded hospitality environment, with a hands‑on approach and the ability to support the General Manager in the successful running of the business.
