Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management, at Wotton House, seeks a Chef de Partie to lead banqueting and large events with pride in quality and efficiency.

You will prepare, cook and present a wide range of dishes for conferences, weddings and private functions, working closely with the Kitchen and Events teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The role requires teamwork, flexibility and a focus on hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or at least a Demi Chef de Partie stepping up.
• Experience in banqueting, events, hotels or high-volume catering preferred.
• Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen organisation.
• Ability to own your section and maintain high standards under busy event timings.
• Attention to detail, pride in food quality and knowledge of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for preparation, cooking and presentation for conferences, weddings, private events and banqueting.
• Deliver high-quality food for varying scales of events.
• Collaborate with Kitchen and Conference & Events teams to ensure smooth delivery to high standards.
• Prepare and organise your section ahead of busy events and meet service timings.
• Support senior chefs with menu delivery and maintain consistency across plates.
• Manage multiple priorities during busy periods with attention to detail and quality.
• Mentor junior kitchen staff and foster a collaborative environment.
• Maintain food hygiene, cleanliness and safety at all times; follow procedures.
• Assist with stock management, portion control and minimising waste; support sustainability.
• Be flexible to support other kitchen areas to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
