Job summary

Womble Bond Dickinson (UK) LLP in London seeks an ambitious Associate (3-6 PQE) to join its Banking & Finance team. You will work on complex transactions, collaborate with partners, and manage mid-to-senior level client engagements from day one.

You will be expected to advise on real estate finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, corporate lending, refinancings, and cross-border transactions, while developing your technical and client relationship skills in a supportive, expanding team.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years' post-qualification experience as a solicitor qualified in England & Wales or Scotland.
• Strong experience in banking and finance transactions gained in private practice or equivalent in-house.
• Excellent technical drafting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of banking and finance transactions from inception to completion.
• Take ownership of day-to-day transaction management and client delivery.
• Supervise and support junior lawyers where appropriate.

The Role:

Our Banking & Finance team advises banks, alternative lenders, investors, public sector bodies and corporate borrowers on a broad range of financing transactions across the UK and internationally.

As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious Associate (3-6 PQE) to join our London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to accelerate their career within a supportive, entrepreneurial and nationally integrated practice, with access to high-calibre work and meaningful client exposure from day one.

Based in our London Bridge office, you will be part of our London Banking & Finance practice and our wider national team.

You will work closely with partners on a broad range of transactions including:

• Real estate finance
• Leveraged and acquisition finance
• Corporate lending
• Refinancings and restructurings
• Cross-border financing transactions

You will have the opportunity to:

• Advise on financing transactions from inception to completion.
• Take ownership of day-to-day transaction management and client delivery.
• Work directly with clients and develop long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple practice areas and sectors.
• Supervise and support junior lawyers where appropriate.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the practice.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• 3-6 years' post-qualification experience as a solicitor qualified in England & Wales or Scotland.

• The ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice to clients.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues.
