Job summary

Transforming Support Sussex is seeking a Bank Support Worker in Crawley to assist adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live as independently as possible. You will provide daily living support, encourage participation in activities, and help with health needs and medication according to procedures.

The role is bank-based, offering flexible hours, 14 pounds per hour, and ongoing support within an established supported living organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' care or support experience required.
• Good communication skills and a reliable, responsible approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to person-centred support and independence.
• Flexibility to work bank shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with everyday living and maintaining their independence.

Bank Support Worker

Location: Horsham Road, Crawley, RH11 8PA

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Holiday Pay: 12.07% rolled up holiday pay

Contract: Bank

Experience Required: Minimum 6 months' care or support experience

The Role

• Supporting individuals with everyday living and maintaining their independence
• Helping people make choices about their routines, activities and lifestyle
• Supporting access to the local community, appointments and social activities
• Providing support with health needs and medication in line with agreed procedures
• Helping individuals manage their tenancy, finances and household responsibilities where required
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive risk taking
• Building positive relationships with the people you support, their families and other professionals
• Maintaining accurate records and completing required documentation
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures
• Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, high quality support

About You
