Job summary

Transforming Support Sussex in Crawley is seeking a Bank Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities live as independently as possible. You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living, health needs and access to the community.

The role offers flexible bank shifts, ongoing support within an established supported living organisation, and the opportunity to gain additional hours around other commitments.

Qualifications

• minimum 6 months' care or support experience
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work bank shifts as required
• A genuine commitment to person centred support
• A reliable and responsible approach

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with everyday living and maintain their independence
• Help people make choices about routines and activities
• Support access to local community, appointments and social activities
• Provide health and medication support in line with procedures
• Assist with tenancy, finances and household responsibilities where required
• Encourage independence and positive risk taking
• Build positive relationships with the people you support, their families and other professionals
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures
• Work closely with colleagues to provide high quality support
