Job summary

Transforming Support South London is seeking a Bank Support Worker at Temple Road in Croydon to support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a person-centred, empowering role. You will work bank shifts, helping individuals maintain independence, safety and dignity in daily living.

The role emphasises building confidence, choice, and community involvement while delivering consistent, high-quality support in a structured team.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' previous care or support experience.
• Commitment to person centred support.
• Reliable, respectful and confident with adults with complex needs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience with learning disabilities or complex needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with everyday living and independence.
• Help people make choices about routines, activities and lifestyle.
• Assist access to community, appointments and social activities.
• Provide support with health needs and medications.
• Assist tenancy, finances and household responsibilities as needed.
• Build positive relationships with individuals, families and professionals.
• Encourage independence and positive risk taking.
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures.
• Work closely with colleagues to provide high quality support.
