About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest social care charities, supporting thousands of people to live independently and thrive in their communities.

Since 1988, we’ve been at the forefront of person-centred care, helping people move away from institutional living and into homes where they can enjoy greater choice, dignity and opportunity.

Today, with over 6,600 colleagues across England and Scotland, we continue to lead the way — finding new, creative and impactful ways to improve lives every day.

You’ll be supporting two friendly and independent women who share a home in a quiet area of Hough Green, Widnes. They are proud of the lives they've built and enjoy being active members of their local community, with plenty of shops, cafés, community facilities and transport links right on their doorstep.

Life is all about getting out and about, trying new things and making the most of every day. Whether that’s meeting for coffee, heading out for lunch, taking a walk through the local park, enjoying a game of bingo, attending a disco, or visiting nearby towns such as Warrington, Liverpool or St Helens, they enjoy staying connected and making new memories.

They live in a welcoming three-bedroom semi-detached house with a large garden and patio area, perfect for enjoying the warmer weather. Inside, there are comfortable communal spaces where people relax, chat, cook together and plan their next adventures.

Both ladies are very independent and like to make their own choices, but they benefit from encouragement and gentle prompting with aspects of daily living. They especially value support workers who are proactive, patient and enthusiastic about helping them explore new opportunities and experiences.

This is a role that focuses on building relationships, promoting independence and helping people live fulfilling lives. Good communication skills are essential, as the people you support enjoy conversation and appreciate colleagues who listen carefully, communicate clearly and take the time to understand them.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting people to maintain their independence and daily routines
  • Building positive and meaningful relationships
  • Administering medication following training
  • Encouraging participation in activities and community opportunities
  • Supporting with personal care and appearance where needed
  • Providing emotional support, reassurance and encouragement
  • Promoting choice, dignity and person-centred support
  • Working flexibly as part of a small, supportive team
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys spending time with people, is a great communicator and genuinely wants to make a positive difference.

You’ll Be
  • Friendly, patient and approachable
  • A confident communicator who enjoys conversation
  • Proactive and motivated to help people try new experiences
  • Respectful of people's choices and independence
  • Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Calm and understanding when communication may take a little longer

Experience in care can be helpful, but it's your values and attitude that matter most. We'll provide all the training and support you need, including medication training and ongoing development opportunities.
