About Community Integrated Care

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment.

Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the 'Care in the Community' agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives.

Since then, we've remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland.

We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.

Working closely with the Service Leader and the Support Worker team, you will be responsible for supporting vulnerable individuals in their day to day lives. Each person we support is unique, so the support you provide will be person-centred and will focus on achieving the best lives possible for each individual.

Our Shifts: Days - between 8am - 10pm | 10pm - 8am (Sleepover)

Shift Requirement: Days and sleepovers - involves working different days each week and some weekend work

Contract: 15 hours per week - permanent

Driving License Required? No

What You'll Be Doing

The individuals we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities and mobility issues, but this hasn't stopped them from enjoying life! The ladies enjoy lots of activities, including going out for lunch, picnics, art groups, swimming, knitting, jigsaws and going to parties. However, they're always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.

  • Supporting with medication administration
  • Cooking
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Maintaining the homes of people supported and helping to manage their finances

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

What We're Looking For At Community Integrated Care, we know it takes someone special to work in social care and that doesn't always mean having experience. We hire based on values, welcoming people from all walks of life: seasoned support workers, Care Assistants, Veterans, those with lived experience, or even total newbies with a passion to care.

We're proud to be an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer.
