Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd in New Romney, Kent, is seeking a Bank Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. This is a Bank/Zero Hour Contract with a rate of £13.03 per hour.

No visa restrictions are stated beyond the usual hours requirement. The role focuses on delivering person-centred support, helping with daily living skills, promoting independence, and coordinating activities and appointments.

Qualifications

• Be willing to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

About the Service – Beech Care

Beech Care is situated in a quiet residential area of New Romney and is within easy reach of the amenities. Beech Care is a bungalow, a residential service supporting service users with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. The service users enjoy visiting the local amenities, having a stroll down to the beach, going swimming, bowling, and going out for meals and picnics. The kitchen has been adapted with easy access for the service users go into the kitchen to do cooking/ baking. Beech care has its own sensory room for the service users to enjoy relaxing music and lights.

Beech Care currently supports 5 service users 4 female and 1 male, they need support with physical disabilities. Some are wheelchair bound and they need hoisting. Some are non verbal.

Access to the garden is via a ramp, service users enjoy using the trampoline and looking after the sensory garden.

The Role

• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑ins

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
