Job summary

Be part of Beech Care in New Romney as a Waking Night Support Worker, providing person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role involves night shifts on a rota basis and requires flexibility, patience, and reliable teamwork.

You’ll deliver daily living support, assist with personal care, promote independence, and help clients access community activities while maintaining detailed records and adhering to plans.

• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

Waking Night Support Worker - Weekend shifts

Location: New Romney, Kent

Rate: £13.03 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 24 hours per week (rota-based)

We may be unable to support applications where Home Office visa restrictions prevent candidates from meeting the full contractual hours or requirements of the role.

About the Service – Beech Care

Beech Care is situated in a quiet residential area of New Romney and is within easy reach of the amenities. Beech Care is a bungalow, a residential service supporting service users with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. The service users enjoy visiting the local amenities, having a stroll down to the beach, going swimming, bowling, and going out for meals and picnics. The kitchen has been adapted with easy access for the service users go into the kitchen to do cooking/ baking. Beech care has its own sensory room for the service users to enjoy relaxing music and lights.

Beech Care currently supports 5 service users 4 female and 1 male, they need support with physical disabilities. Some are wheelchair bound and they need hoisting. Some are non verbal.

Access to the garden is via a ramp, service users enjoy using the trampoline and looking after the sensory garden.

The Role

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
