Job summary

CareTech in Fareham is seeking compassionate care assistants to support residents in a five-bed residential home. You will help with daily activities, meals, laundry, cleaning and social events while maintaining confidentiality.

No prior experience needed; full training and a structured induction are provided. You will work as part of a supportive team, with opportunities to gain Level 2 in Health and Social Care and progress within CareTech.

Qualifications

• Willing to obtain Level 2 Health and Social Care.
• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Good communication skills and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meals, laundry, cleaning and social events.
• Participate in day-to-day implementation of individual support plans.

• Liaise effectively with service users, families and others while respecting confidentiality.

Job description

You will:

• To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
• To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
• To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events.
• To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
• To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.
• We're seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
• No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we'll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)

Park Lane Park Lane is a five bedded residential care home, located on the outskirts of Fareham, a market town at the northwest tip of Portsmouth Harbour, between the cities of Portsmouth and Southampton in south east Hampshire. The town can be accessed by rail or road links via the M27 and A27. Fareham is a modern and thriving town, offering a gateway to a wealth of social, vocational and educational opportunities.
