Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Care Worker at our Whitchurch location. In this role you will support young people aged 8–18 with daily routines, homework help, and meaningful activities in a safe, nurturing home environment.

No prior experience is required. You will receive comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and opportunities for NVQs as part of a supportive team focused on safeguarding and wellbeing.

What You’ll Do

• Support young people in their daily routines, including school preparation, activities, and meal times.
• Create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
• Build relationships and provide emotional support during both highs and lows.
• Participate in fun, meaningful activities like trips to the park, board games, or movies.
• Complete essential planning and documentation.
• New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
