Cambian Group Plc in Ludlow is seeking a Children’s Residential Care Worker to support young people aged 8–18 in our homes. You’ll help with daily routines, school prep, meals and activities, building trust and a sense of safety.

No prior experience is required; a passion for helping others is enough. You’ll receive a two-week induction, funded NVQ options, and ongoing training, plus generous sleep-in pay and benefits.

Children's Residential Care Worker -Child Sexual Exploitation

Location: Ludlow, Shropshire

Salary: £27,435.30 - £28,724.80 + £3,000 sleep-in bonus (annual average)

Pay & Benefits

• £13.19 - £13.81 per hour (DOE)

• Sleep-in shifts: £3000 per annum (up to 10 shifts/month)

What You’ll Do

• Support young people in their daily routines, including school preparation, activities, and meal times.
• Create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
• Build relationships and provide emotional support during both highs and lows.
• Participate in fun, meaningful activities like trips to the park, board games, or movies.
• Complete essential planning and documentation.
• New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
